This blog post will cover:
- An introduction to my second client as a beginner digital marketer
- What I’m excited about for this project
- How I’m going to approach this challenge
Introduction
This second client of mine is a local tuition centre specialising in english and humanities classes, while also providing other classes like math and science. The tuition industry is a booming one in Singapore, with households spending S$1.8 billion on private tutoring in 2023, up 30% from 2018.
With over 1000 tuition centres in Singapore, ranging from large tuition chains to smaller one-location boutiques, competition is tough and the need to stand out from the crowd is crucial.
What I’m Looking Forward To
I’m excited for this project because the scope of the project will allow me to explore beyond just PPC marketing. I’ll be able to experiment in other areas like:
- Landing page and funnel building
- Conversion rate optimisation
- Email marketing (potentially)
- Meta ads
- Implementing a little bit of SEO and AISO
These are all new things to me as a digital marketer, and of course aligns with my goals of trying everything under the digital marketing umbrella to figure out what I’m good at and what I like, so I can really hone in on my skill. I’m currently very invested in PPC marketing, which I’ve been practicing with my first client.
Challenges I see Myself Facing
One thing that the owner mentioned that did worry me was that his tuition business has largely been sustaining on just word of mouth, and that digital marketing had not had a huge impact on his sales since the start. As a newfound digital marketer myself, I can’t tell for sure if the things I implement will be effective for this business.
But, one thing I do know is that if a business can sustain with just word of mouth, then digital marketing can become an extension of that and add to the business’s success. The business surviving merely on word of mouth suggests that its offer, value, service, and results are strong, making it easier for me to sell their service.
Whatever it is, I’m looking forward to expanding my skills in digital marketing and taking you along this journey with me. If you’d like, subscribe to the blog (It’s FREE!!) to receive updates on new posts. See you in the next one.
